CERT Fall Exercise in the Cool Pines
Here are
the details for the Exercise in Flagstaff:
The
Exercise will take place at Camp Navajo, a few miles east of Flagstaff.
6:30 AM
Arrive at the Exercise site.
7:00 AM
Briefing, "continental" breakfast and set-up.
9:00 AM
Exercise begins.
12:00 PM
Lunch.
1:30 PM
Finish and pack-up.
Since
the Exercise begins at 6:30 AM, you might want to consider spending the night
before, Friday, September 24, in Flagstaff. Alternatively, you would likely have to leave Chandler
somewhere around 3:30 - 4:00 AM on Saturday.
We will
attempt to arrange car pools for those interested in participating.
The
Scenario is planned to be a train car carrying hazardous materials has been
derailed and there are mass casualties.
The
specialties to tested include:
Evacuation
(light search & rescue)
Triage
Treatment
Incident
command
Sheltering
Communications
(Hams needed)
Administration
(assisting in running the event)
You may
bring along friends and family members (non-cert members), who can participate
as victims, should they choose to do so.
We need to know by Thursday July 29
whether you plan on attending.

This
promises to be a fun exercise where you can use and test your skills and work
with other cert groups from around the state.
