Potluck Dinner and Social to review the 2009 CERT Goals, new badging 2009, open positions on the Chandler CERT Council for the upcoming elections in March 2009, and a brief review of the Typing Levels along with Advancements Requirements. On March 10th the Coyote Classic Regional Drill will be held at ASU along with Chandler FD. This is a Large scale Exposive Device Drill at ASU Sun Deveil Stadium involving AZ Dept. of Emergency Management, FEMA, CERT, ASU Campus Police, DPS, MCSO, FBI, Valley Metro, Air Evac, Indian Air MedEvac, Scottsdale PD, and Scottsdale PD. 1,000 patients are expected for this event and need to be triaged and transported to area hospitals. YES - 1,000 patients!
From January 23, 6 pm through January 25, 6 pm the West Valley Regional Drill will be held at the Avondale Training Facility.
Still needed are 30 Chandler CERT Members (any Operational Period), Plans Chief/Logistics Chief/Ops Chief/PIO/VRC for Operational Period 2, and IC/Plans Chief/Logistics Chief/Ops Chief/PIO/VRC for Operational Period 4.
SURPRISE, AZ (December 9, 2008)…The City of Surprise invites the general public to attend the free 2nd Annual Disability/Human Services Summit, January 10th from 8 am to 12 pm at Radiant Church, 15522 W. Paradise Lane.

As a reminder to everyone, the City of Chandler Parade of Lights is this Saturday. Line up begins at 5:00 PM with judging at 6:30.

We have had a good response from people that plan to attend both he parade and decorating party at 1:00 PM - Station 8 on Frye between Alma & Arizona. The decorating party will only run from 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday afternoon.
It is important that we get a head count on the number of CERT members, family members and guests that are going to walk in the parade. Please let me know as soon as you can. We look forward to seeing you for a good time at the parade.
